Rooiels is part of a unique and sensitive natural environment. The Rooiels Conservancy exists to protect it through community stewardship, informed advocacy, and practical conservation work. How Membership Helps

Community support through membership enables the Conservancy to:

  • Advocate for conservation priorities affecting Rooiels

  • Work constructively with conservation authorities, partners and the Rooiels community
  • Promote awareness and education about environmental issues and responsible living

  • Support the initiatives that protect natural spaces and wildlife

  • Participate in Conservancy consultations and decision making
  • Receive a Rooiels Conservancy sign for your property

Membership Options

🌳Ordinary Membership

For people, NGOs and volunteer organisations within the Conservancy area. Ordinary members have voting rights at Annual and Special General Meetings.

Annual fee: R300 per member

🌱Affiliate Membership

For people or organisations outside the Conservancy area who support the Rooiels Conservancy’s vision and wish to stay informed. Affiliate members do not have voting rights.

Annual fee: R150 per member

Renewing Your Membership

Your membership runs for a calendar year with renewal fees due by 31 January. We truly appreciate our long-standing members who keep our work going year after year. To renew now, click the Join Us button above.
