The Rooiels Hack

For many years, dedicated and enthusiastic Rooielsers have rolled up their sleeves and taken on the daunting task of eradicating invasive alien vegetation in the village. Led by hack convenor Mike Christelis, the group does invaluable work to stem the tide of invasive plants, and conserve our endemic flora. 

The group meets on the second Saturday of every month to take on a new challenge. All are welcome, and there is a job for everyone regardless of age or fitness level. Please consider coming along – it’s a fun and practical way to contribute to the health of our village, and get to know your neighbours.
